2021 House League Registration is Open

by | Dec 28, 2020

Bloordale Baseball is pleased to announce that registration is now open for the 2021 house league season.  Players can be registered using this TeamSnap registration form:

Given the cancelled 2020 house league season, and the current pandemic, our intention was to keep rates flat year over year.  However our Baseball Ontario insurance carrier now requires vulnerable sector checks (that is, police checks) for all baseball league volunteers.  While these checks will provide an additional level of comfort and security, it does unfortunately introduce additional cost for leagues.  We will therefore be raising rates by $10 per player across all youth divisions to cover the costs of paying for these checks.   More information will be forthcoming regarding the vulnerable sector checks.  2021 house league rates and other information can be found here:

The pandemic will continue to make life uncertain in 2021.  We would like to reassure our Bloordale families on these very important points:

  1. Safety. Safety for all players and fans will be the first priority.  Bloordale Baseball will follow all safety protocols mandated by the City, Province, and Baseball Ontario.  The extensive list of safety protocols (which may be updated as conditions change) can be found here https://drive.google.com/file/d/13r3EIoSjtWb4YmicZq7swAXaVlUf7JdF/view?usp=sharing
  2. After the announcement of the 2020 season cancellation, Bloordale refunded 100% of the registration costs to all players.  Bloordale Baseball is very sound financially, and should we need to cancel the 2021 season, we will once again automatically issue full refunds.

Please see our Frequently Asked Questions document, which provides more details and scenarios for season cancellation. The FAQ document will continue to be updated as the situation changes, and can be found here:

We missed seeing the players and fans enjoying baseball in 2020.  We know that the times right now are uncertain.  Bloordale Baseball will be here whenever it’s safe to play again.  Here’s a short video that you can enjoy until then: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10rBcCIj6TCfmnbp_aYBZV_LvqBvxS_n-/view?usp=sharing
