Longtime Bloordale Coach Receives Community Award

by | Jan 29, 2025

Bloordale Baseball thrives thanks to the hard work and dedication of its volunteers. On January 26, 2025, coach Craig Christie was honored with a Community Recognition Award at the New Year’s Levee, hosted by local MP Yvan Baker.

Like many parents, Craig became involved in our league by coaching his own child. After his son’s competitive baseball career ended, Craig started all over again with the younger divisions, with his son helping. Craig is appreciated by players, parents, and fellow coaches for his infectious enthusiasm and love for the game.

Craig’s commitment to the community extends far beyond the baseball field. In addition to coaching local youth in various sports, he also serves as a mentor in his role as a teacher at Etobicoke Collegiate Institute.

We are fortunate to have individuals like Craig in our league, whose leadership and dedication have such a positive impact on our local youth.
