NEILSON PARK REFURBISHMENT PROJECT COMPLETE

by | Jul 22, 2019

Friday July 19 saw the completion of a major park upgrade at the Neilson Park diamond.  The project, funded entirely by Bloordale Baseball, included the replacement of the old gravel infield with clay, as well as an increase to the playing surface area.  There are also new drop-in bases, a new pitching rubber, and a new home plate.

This project will result in a better and more durable playing surface for the players.  The increased size will allow the park to be used as a practice field for older age groups.

The attached photographs show the various stages of the project.
